I offer both couples and individual therapy for people in Massachusetts and New York. My work with individuals uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and this approach is heavily influenced by my training in Imago Couples Therapy. I exclusively use Imago in couples sessions because it quickly brings couples back into connection and equips them with the tools to sustain a healthy romantic relationship.
I love to help individuals and couples when they feel stuck. I find that when people feel connected and safe in their relationships, they are able to deal more effectively with life's other stressors: work, finances, and family. Imago is different in that it focuses on strengthening the relationship (the space between), instead of brokering compromises for the two individual clients. I will coach you to use communication techniques called dialogues that quickly repair relationship ruptures and sustain a sense of safety between the two of you.
